Pinterest is a little different from other social media platforms like Instagram or Twitter. More Pinterest Followers
If you’re running a business account, you might feel like it’s harder to get followers compared to personal accounts. It’s true that business accounts don’t always get the same organic reach, but don’t worry! With the right strategy, you can still see steady growth.
1. Use your Email List.
If you have an email list, this one is easy peasy for you. You can easily ask your subscribers to follow you on Pinterest. A few ideas are:
Sending them an email saying “Did you know I’m on Pinterest?” Share with them what type of content they’ll find following you on Pinterest. Be sure to add your Pinterest link right to your profile.
Another idea is sharing a specific Pinterest board. You could share your favorite Keto snack in an email, then recommend they go follow you and check our tyour “Keto Snacks” board on Pinterest. Send them the link to the specific board itself. Depending on how often you email, you could send them an email once a month highlighting a Pinterest board.
This doesn’t have to be a one-time thing—send a few reminders now and then! Each time you create a new board share it with them!
2. Promote on Your Other Social Media
Do you already have followers on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter? Perfect! Let’s use those to your advantage.
Post on Instagram or Facebook and let your audience know where they can find more of your content. For example, on Facebook, you could say:
“Here’s where I keep all of my 10-minute home workout ideas. Follow me on Pinterest for more quick tips and ideas!”
Make sure to include a link to your Pinterest account so it’s easy for people to follow. You can also share a specific Pinterest board to attract more targeted followers!
*Tip: Did you know a pinner can follow your whole profile, or just a board. This means, even if they follow your “Keto Snacks” board only, they’ll still count as a follower!
3. Create Call-To-Action Pins
Video pins are a game-changer on Pinterest! They grab attention and usually get more engagement. But here’s the thing—if you want more followers, don’t forget to ask for them!
After creating a video pin, add a simple call-to-action like: “Follow for more tips” or “Follow for inspiration.”
It’s important to remember that once someone follows you on Pinterest, they’re less likely to unfollow you. So, don’t be afraid to ask for followers every now and then.
It’s important to understand….
At the end of the day, the most important thing is to keep posting awesome content that people want to see. As you keep sharing high-quality pins, you’ll attract new followers who aren’t already following you on social media or through email.
