Are Pinterest Group Boards Still Alive?
Let me be 100% honest with you. As of the time of this blog post, July 2020, I can’t give you a straight answer. Group boards are great to be on if they are active and a great community. But most group boards are practically dead… and Pinterest just values important boards with quality pins.
How to Know if a Pinterest Group Board is Dead
Certainly, there are a few things you can look at to know if a Pinterest group board is dead.
First, if the same person has pinned the last 10-15 pins, then the board is dead. When only one person is pinning, then they’re the only one active on it, and nothing is going to get seen or re-pinned from others in the group.
Second, if more than one person is pinning, but there aren’t many new pins, that board is dead. Ideally, you’ll want one new pin a day to be on the board to show that it’s fresh and up to date. So, if you hop on the board and don’t see many fresh pins very often, then it’s a pretty dead board.

In Conclusion
Once you know how to find a Pinterest group board, you just follow the directions to ask to join one. But, overall, 9 times out of 10, you won’t get a response from the board owner.
