As a beginner with Tailwind, you may be wondering, “Is Tailwind worth it?” You read that everyone says it is, but how do you know for sure?

$15 a month as a new entrepreneur can be hard on the budget.

Also, learning a whole new platform just to use Pinterest can take lots of time. So, is Tailwind worth it?

Is Tailwind Worth it?

Head on over here for a quick video on why I don’t recommend investing in Tailwind.

There are 4 reasons I don’t recommend Tailwind.

1. You Don’t Save Money

At $15 a month, Tailwind can be pretty pricey for beginner business owners. However, you can learn a manual pinning strategy for free, and still, get the same growth (or even better with my clients).

Also, Tailwind has a ton of different features you’re able to use. But if you aren’t using all of them (which can be really overwhelming if you are), then you’re leaving money on the table.

2. You Don’t Save Time

The BIGGEST reason everyone claims they love Tailwind is to save time. Now, this may be Earth-shattering news, but unless you’re a VA managing 5+ accounts, then Tailwind isn’t going to save you time.

Why?

Well, it’s a scheduler. So you’re able to quickly and easily schedule your pins for various intervals, and it seems quicker upfront. But in order to get the best clicks to your website for Pinterest (it’s all about the clicks, read more here), you need to add a manual Pinning strategy.

With the new Pinterest 2020 algorithm changes, they even came out and said that fresh new pins and manual pinning (aka being on the platform) are going to benefit you more with Pinterest than pre-scheduling 100 pins.

3. It’s Confusing

Truth. Tailwind is so confusing.

From the overload of analytics to the tribes, pin looping, and every other “tool” it gets really confusing. If you are just learning Pinterest and are already overwhelmed, Tailwind will NOT help with that.

After 30 days on the platform you’ll get the basics down, but hundreds more questions will keep coming. Because if you’re paying for it, you want to maximize it and put it to the best use.

Save yourself stress and confusion by not using Tailwind.

4. Pinterest Doesn’t Like You

When you only use Tailwind for all of your pinning, you get “lowered” in Pinterest eyes.

Why?

Because Pinterest wants you on their platform. She wants you to search it, pin from it, and add new ideas to it. And Tailwind only allows you to do 2/3 of those things. It’s important to actually be on the Pinterest platform pinning and searching to get the best traffic.
